Neil Miley
Chief Executive Officer
Neil Miley became Chief Executive Officer of Mercia Learning Trust in September 2024. He holds a degree in mathematics and artificial intelligence from the University of Leeds, where his passion for education first took root. His career in education began in Leeds, progressing through various teaching roles, including lead advanced skills teacher in mathematics.
In 2010, Neil joined the Future Leaders programme, which led to senior leadership roles at Dixons Allerton Academy. At Dixons Kings Academy, he transformed the school from 'requires improvement' to 'outstanding' in just two years, placing it in the top 1% of schools nationally for progress.
Neil's final role at Dixons was as Deputy CEO, overseeing 17 academies and 14,000 students.
At Mercia Learning Trust, Neil is dedicated to driving innovation, collaboration and individual success across the trust's schools. Mercia Learning Trust is a successful partnership of 4 primary and 3 secondary schools in Sheffield.
