Mercia Learning Trust is seeking new trustees to join our dynamic board and contribute to our mission of providing outstanding educational opportunities for young people in Sheffield.

About Us: We are a 2 - 18+ cross–phase trust serving diverse communities, with a commitment to continuous improvement and inclusivity. Our seven schools, comprising both primary and secondary schools, are recognised for their effectiveness and sector-leading practices.

The Role: As a trustee, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership, ensuring accountability, and fostering stakeholder engagement. We are seeking individuals with senior-level experience across various domains, including education, finance, HR, legal, and risk management to take on these voluntary roles.

Time Commitments: Board meetings occur six times a year, with additional committee meetings and support functions depending on individual expertise. Trustees serve a four-year term and receive induction and ongoing training.

The Process: Interested candidates can apply by submitting an application form, followed by an interview and pre-recruitment checks. Successful applicants will undergo an induction process to familiarise themselves with the role and responsibilities.
